Tara Styer

tara-styer-tahoe-pilatesTara grew up in Northwest Montana appreciating many outdoor activities, so it was natural for her to move to Tahoe to enjoy the mountains and Lake.  Tara originally sought out Pilates to complement physical therapy following two car crashes.  She was quickly captivated by the movements and uniqueness of the practice.  Tara’s comprehensive training is through Balanced Body.  She is also a qualified instructor of TRX and believes there is a great marriage between TRX and Pilates.  In addition to these exercises, Tara enjoys indoor cycling and Barre classes.  Tara is a member of Pilates Method Alliance and she prides herself on attending classes when she travels to bring new exercises and techniques back to her clients.

Tara graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Sociology.  After college Tara moved to Tahoe for a winter season to enjoy life and ski often.  She quickly learned that Tahoe has a way of turning one season into multiple years.  In 2006 Tara returned to school at San Diego State to attain her Master’s Degree in Public Health.  She appreciates the science and focus on prevention that Pilates emphasizes.

She works with men and women of all ages to help them find balance in the form of exercise.
